Hello, friends. You can’t imagine how excited and happy I am to greet you again after such a long break. A lot of time has passed since my last update, but there was not a single day that I didn’t miss this little online home of mine. I guess I went through a period of my life when reconnection with the real world was what I wanted the most. But even though I did enjoy this social media detox for a while, I realized that my love for fashion and all the pretty things is just too strong to even consider abandoning this blog. So yes, I am back, and I cannot wait to show you my recent outfit ideas and online finds I am obsessed with these days!
Now, let’s talk fashion. If there is something more stressful in this life than a job interview or unexpectedly bumping into your ex, it’s having zero clue what to wear on a date. I mean I love getting ready, and it’s usually the fun part, but there are times when the pre-date-anxiety kicks in and all of sudden nothing looks good. So, in short, this is what I learned from my own experience:
- Shopping is not always a good idea. Even though heading to the mall for a date night outfit seems like an easy escape
and a perfectly legitimate reason to shop, there is no guarantee you will find something confidence-boosting. And what if you’ll end up in one of those fitting rooms with lighting so insanely unflattering that it would make a Victoria Secret model cry? Chances are you won’t feel like dating until you cut to 5 percent body fat, #realtalk.
- Wearing clothes you get compliments on always works. It could be a dress you wore on an extremely good day, a pair of jeans that truly flatters your figure – basically anything that puts a smile on your face and makes you feel great. Just locate those magical pieces in your wardrobe, play your favourite song and you’re ready!
- You should be comfortable breathing, eating and walking in your date night outfit. A strapless bra that keeps slipping down, painful heels or a dress that’s too tight won’t ruin your date, but can definitely be a major distraction. Comfort is everything – when you feel good, you’ll look good.
